Formed in 2010 Amarilli Trio brings together exciting young musicians Maria Ryan - violin, Patricia Ramirez Reinoso- viola, and Leonardo Sesenna- cello, who met in London as members of Southbank Sinfonia. While working as orchestral musicians the trio formed as a way of exploring the string trio repetoire. Their unanimous enthusiasm and curiosity led them deeper into the string trio repetoire and it became inevitable that the group should become official and perfom regularly.
Hailing from 3 countries, and having undertaken studies in 5 countries between them, each musician brings to the trio a unique culmination of different ideas, perspective, and musical heritage.
They have perfomed on numerous occasions in London in venues including the Wigmore Hall, and the Royal Festival Hall, and in June 2011 undertook their inaugural European Tour, performing in venues such as the Palacio Arzobispal Carmen de los Martires in La Alhambra in Granada, Castell ‘arquato in Italy, and Kilkenny Castle as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
